Reba Cummins Phelps

Reba Cummins Phelps, 94, of Corbin, KY passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Whitley County on August 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Edgar and Della Pennington Frazier. Reba was preceded in death by husbands Jimmy Cummins and Larry Wayne Phelps.

Survivors include a brother, Lowell Frazier and wife Marie of Liberty, SC and their daughters; and other relatives, friends, and caregivers who assisted her in staying in her home.

Reba had worked as a secretary in the office at Corbin High School years ago before going to the Holiday Inn on the Mountain as a hospitality worker in the restaurant. She was devoted to the Baptist faith, being a longtime member of 20th. Street Baptist Church, and had enjoyed bowling and sewing in earlier years.

Her visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. A service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens will follow at 1:30 pm, Rev. Darvin Wells and Rev. Lonnie Jarvis will be the ministers.
