Rev. Thurston Henlsey

Rev. Thurston Hensley, age 78, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday morning at his home.
He was retired master electrician from CSX and was a longtime song leader and musician for the church prior to becoming pastor of the Parkhill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Corbin for over 36years.  Thurston was loved by all who knew him and he was always available to answer the call to help others when needed.
He was born in Wallens Creek, Kentucky to the late Perry and Zella Hensley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife of over 55years, Jawanda Hensley; Daughter, Jackie Bingham; Son, Darrell Hensley; Brothers, Ralph and Wayne Hensley; Sisters, Marie and Freda.
Thurston is survived by his Sons: Allen, Steve, and Mark Hensley;  Grandchildren; Anthony Hensley, Bethany Hensley, Kevin Green, Ryan Prewitt, Josh Hensley, Zach Hensley, Matthew Hensley, Kristi Hensley, Stephanie Hensley-Morill, and Austin Hutton; Great Grandchildren:; Jeffery Hensley, Samuel Hensley, Rachel Morill, Jaylynn Green, Jackson Green, Maddox Green, Maddie Green, Gabe and Skylar Prewitt; Sister, Bernice Byrd; and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday October 13, 2017 at Park Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Randall Lee officiating.
