Richard Paul Francioni

Richard Paul Francioni, 77, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Martha Francioni. He was a retired police officer in Miami Beach, Florida, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Francioni; two sons who are also police officers, John Francioni and wife Jackie, and Richie Francioni and wife Julie; grandchildren, Holly, Nikki, Wen and Matt Francioni; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Francioni; brother, John Francioni of Pennsylvania; special niece and nephew, Maxine and Doyle Lawson; special friend to the family, Jeff Gomez; and a host of cousins, family and friends. Our thanks for the help of our neighbor, Peggy McGuire. This beloved man will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be at 11am Friday, November 12, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Family Cemetery in Laurel County.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday and 10-11 am Friday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
