Richard Root, Sr. age 66, of Lutz, Fl. passed away on April 24, 2015 at St. Joseph North Hospital in Lutz, Fl.
He was born in Corbin, Ky. and was preceded in death by his Son, Richard Root Jr., Mother, Mildred Jean Sears Root; Brother, Robert Eugene Root; Sister, Patricia Ann Schimandle, and Uncle Jerry Sears.
Richard is survived by his Wife, Emma Banuelos Root of Lutz, FL; Children, Tracey L. Root, Billy Root, Clint Allen Banuelos-Root, Jessie Root, and Noah Root. Brother, Timmy Root and wife Sylvia of Aurora, IL. Grandchildren, David Butcher Jr., Matthew Butcher, Thomas Butcher, Joseph Adair, Richard Root III, Kyrsten Root, Rebecca Holle, Kaytlyn Herrera, Katrina Root, Adrian Root, Kylie Root, Gage Root, Preston Hannika, and Payton Hannika. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was a hard working man, and spent his life with one goal on his mind and that was providing for his family. He spent the majority of his adult life helping run Jerry Sears cleaners, with his Uncle Jerry Sears. He was a fun loving, good hearted person, and always made sure that his family came first. Richard's death has impacted many and he will be sorely missed.
Funeral service for Richard Root will be held at 2pm on Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral with Rev. Dave Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
