Robert Lee Judd

December 28, 1942 — August 10, 2016

Robert Lee Judd, age 73, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 from his residence. He was born December 28, 1942 in Gray Hawk, Kentucky to Walker and Belle Blake Judd.
He was united in marriage June 7, 1962 to Imogene Griffin Judd and to this 54 year union four children were born: Charles, Karen, Kelly, and Chris.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy as an aviation jet mechanic. Later he worked as diesel mechanic in construction and in mining. He served as a deacon at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and had been called into the ministry. Robert was also a member of the Honor Guard of the Keavy DAV Chapter 158.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Gloria Sue Duncil and his great-grandson Zachary Hayes.
He is survived by his wife Imogene Griffin Judd; his children Charlie Judd and wife Meg of Williamsburg, KY, Karen Wilburn and husband Tom of Corbin, KY, Kelly Fore and husband Danny of Rockholds, KY, Chris Judd and wife Lisa of Seneca, SC; his grandchildren Bill Conn and wife Rebecca, Jonathan Logan and wife Karen, Bellena Wilburn, Miranda Hayes and husband D.J., Danessa Monhollen and husband Jason, Marcus Judd and wife Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Zechariah Conn, Zayne Logan, Olivia Logan, Jaycie Monhollen, Austin Hayes, Skyler Hayes, and Kolton Hayes; brothers Tommy Judd and wife Beatrice, Billy Judd and wife Vadna, Danny Judd, Eddie Judd and wife Hilda, Jimmy Judd and wife Faye; and sister Linda Cooper and husband Don; and several other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Fore and Bro. Tony Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Corn Creek Cemetery with military honors by Keavy DAV Chapter #158.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Logan, Bill Conn, D.J. Hayes, Jason Monhollen, Marcus Judd, Jeff Himes, Jimmy Fore, and Eddie Rees. Honorary pallbearers will be Keavy DAV Chapter 158.
Memorials are suggested to the Keavy DAV Chapter 158.
