Robert Nash

Robert Nash, age 77, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home.
He was born January 6, 1929 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Jesse Nash and Effie Tipton Nash. He was a retired electrician for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Corbin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Fred Nash, one nephew and four great-nephews.
He is survived by his son, Robert E. Nash and wife Patricia of Corbin; grandson, Bobby Shane Nash and wife Carrie of Ft. Huachea, Arizona; granddaughter, Janice Parker and husband Frank of London; four great-grandchildren, Owen, Jessica and Elizabeth Nash and Christian Parker; one sister-in-law, Mildred Nash of Corbin; numerous family and friends, including Wilma Freeland, who will mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Keith Decker officiating. Burial will be in the Nash Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
