Robert 'R.E.' Mitchell

Robert "R.E." Mitchell, 72, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Robert had worked for the Corbin Brick Company and was Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Edith Mitchell; his wife of 50 years Roberta Mitchell who passed away in 2005; brother, Quentin Mitchell; and two sisters, Lula Smith and Lillie Mitchell.
He is survived by two sons, Johnny Mitchell of Indiana and Kenneth Mitchell of London; five grandchildren, Jessica Mitchell, Elizabeth Mitchell, Sara Mitchell, Amanda Mitchell and Samantha Mitchell; three sisters, Billie Frances Gilbert, Mazie Adkins, and Onedda Eaton; two great-grandsons, Christopher and Noah; and special niece, Shirley Farris, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday, Aug. 17, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Logan officiating. Burial will be in the McNeil Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
