Robin Perkins

Robin Perkins, age 47, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Robin had a loving spirit and never met a stranger. She enjoyed listening to music, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. Robin was baptized at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and her faith quickly became the most important thing to her. She enjoyed telling her story and using that testimony to guide others to God. Robin loved to serve those in need and did so with great love and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Carr.

Robin is survived by her loving husband, James M. Perkins, godfather, Lonnie Robin Rodgers, who she viewed as a father, mother and father-in-law, Susan and Larry Shelley, sisters-in-law, Angela Buttery (Rick), Tabitha Buttery, and Amanda Buttery, brother-in-law, Colton Thompson, godmother, Tammy Reynolds, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 5pm on Thursday with Rev. Vance Willett officiating.

Burial will follow at Corn Creek Cemetery in Woodbine, Kentucky.
