Roderick Asher

Roderick Asher, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his Son, Roger Leland Asher; Parents, Lawrence and Polka Bowling Asher; two Grandchildren, Arrianna Elizabeth Carol Evans and Anastasia Nykohl McCarthy; Brothers, Edward, Woodrow, Vetch Batten, and George Asher;  and Sister, Millie Asher.
He is survived by his Wife, Anna Lee Howard Asher; Daughter, Glenna Carol Wilson; Grandchildren, Derrick H. Asher, Cassandra Homan Asher, David Lee Head, Heather Marie Amsler, and Elizabeth Ann Evans; Great Grandchildren, Dion Alexander Evans, Aurora Brianna Evans, Jeremy James Jackson, Patrick Keanu Moffat, Kevin Brandon Michael McCarthy and Destiny Smith; Brother, Jeffrey Cornellius "Spider" Asher; Sister, Mildred Asher Howard; as well as many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 12noon until the time of his funeral service at 2pm beginning with military honors presented by VFW Post#1410 of Corbin. Burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
