Roger M. Anderson, 94, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the Corbin Nursing Home.
Born in Union City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Glen and Vera Holten Anderson. He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in DeBary, Florida; was a 32nd degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Freeport, Illinois; and was a Shriner. He had been plant manager with National Standard in Dixon, Illinois and Corbin, and a vice president with Adcom Metals Corp. in Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Anderson; brother, Harold Anderson; and sister, Martha Walker.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Crook and husband Bill of Corbin; sister, Meredythe Arthur; three grandchildren, Scott Crook and wife Cindy, Jeff Crook and wife Becky, and Mindy Minton; four great-grandchildren, Gracie Crook, Dylan Crook, Jackson Crook, and Carson Crook; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, July 17, 2009, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Tye officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Friday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
