Ronald L. Tipton Sr.

Ronald L. Tipton, Sr., age 76, of Gray, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Leroy and Verna Moore Tipton.
He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Tyrian Lodge #500 in Michigan, and was a United States Marine veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James E. Tipton.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Willa Tipton of Gray; daughters, Rhonda Townsley of Gray, Jan Hollin of Lily, Nina Reece and husband Richard of Gray, and Lori Havelka and husband Martin of Gray; sons, Jerry Tipton and wife Pollie of Keavy, Ronald L. Tipton Jr. and wife Carolyn of Gray, and Glenn Tipton of Gray; a brother, James Edward Tipton of Riverside, California; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all who mourn his passing.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 3, 2011, from 12noon until the time of his funeral service at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Mays officiating.
Burial will be in the Tipton Family Cemetery in Gray with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 12-- 2pm on Thursday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
