Rosella Jones Eaton

Rosella Jones Eaton, age 89, of Corbin, KY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.


She was born on December 21, 1934, in Jackson County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Zear Jones and Maude Halcomb Jones. She attended school in Richmond, IN before moving back to Kentucky later in life. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with family, and doing word search books. Rosella was a retired factory worker from Nettle Creek Industries in Richmond, IN.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Walter Eaton Sr., and Eugene "Gene" Eaton; two sisters, Viola Boshers and Mary Catherine Davis; brother, James Jones; and by one great-granddaughter.


At the time of her passing, she was survived by her husband Wesley Eaton who has since passed away on June 4, 2024, with whom she would have celebrated 72 years of marriage on June 9, 2024.


Left to cherish her memory, are her daughter, Shirley Eaton Wysong of East Bernstadt, KY, 8 grandkids, 12 great grandkids, and 4 great great grandkids; one sister, Beatrice Sanstine of Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and also by her constant companion, Max, her dog.


A combined visitation and funeral will be held for both Rosella and Wesley Eaton. Their visitation will be on Thursday from 12noon until 2 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where their funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Bro. Joe Isaacs officiating.


Burial will follow in the Chapel Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky.
