Roy Dewayne Hembree

Roy Dewayne Hembree, age 57, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Monday June 26, 2023, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY, following his battle with serious medical issues in recent years.  Roy showed his courage in facing life's challenges, and despite the pain, he stayed strong until the end.

Born on June 30, 1965, in Corbin, KY, he is a son of Bonnie Hembree and the late Arnold Lee Hembree.  Roy was a father to two sons, Nicholas Hembree and Michael Hembree.  Along Roy's life journey he met Heidi McCowan and together they had two daughters, Brittany Smith and Brandy Hembree.  Roy was the brother of Danny Hembree and wife Debbie, Rick Hembree and wife Julie, and Bonnie King and husband Jimmy.  Roy was also a grandfather and uncle to several.

Visitation for Roy will be from 5-7pm on Saturday July 1, 2023, a Celebration of his life will begin at 7pm, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
