Ruby Ailene Petrey

Ruby Ailene Petrey, age 80, of Woodbine, passed away on Sunday December 19, 2021, at her home. She was a retired cook from Corbin Independent Schools. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, James Petrey; mother, Martha Davis Cross; children, Martha Reeves and Billy Davis; brother, Billy Joe Davis; and by her sister, Velma Acres. She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Hinkle (Vernon), James Michael Petrey (Kim), and Mark Petrey (Anita); ten grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12noon until 2pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2pm, with Rev. Earl Tye officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Faber, Kentucky.
