Ruby Clark, age 80, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. 

Born in Yeaddiss, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jay Clark and Ethel Shell Clark. 

Ruby was a force of nature, a woman of independence and an unyielding spirit who turned strangers into friends with her unmistakable warmth and kindness. Her life was a testament to the power of love and support, a legacy marked by open hearts and extended hands. Ruby's vibrant spirit was infectious; she had an innate ability to light up a room and make everyone feel welcome. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. An ardent lover of people, she never met a stranger and took sincere delight in helping others. Ruby's life was a beautiful tapestry of kindness and love, woven together by countless acts of compassion and generosity. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her extraordinary life and the invaluable lessons she imparted to us all. We encourage all who knew Ruby to share their memories and upload photos to the memorial page, keeping the flame of her loving spirit alive in our hearts. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis E. Westcott, and a sister, Brenda. 

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Martin, and husband William; grandchildren, Kaylee Martin and Charles Martin; great-grandson, Kaydan Martin; sister, Sandra Pennington, and Sue; brothers, Danny Clark, James Edward Clark, and Jay Jr Clark; nephew, Paul Pennington; and by numerous extended family members and friends. 

At Ruby's request, there will be no public services held at this time.
