Ruby 'Granny' Miller

Ruby H. "Granny" Miller, age 91, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at her home.
Born in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Sy and Clora Howard Saylor. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Miller; grandmother who raised her, America Howard; son, Eugene Miller; two brothers, Martin and Roy Howard; and two sisters, Lizzie Howard and Virgie Howard.
She is survived by five children, Shirley Wooley, Betty Miller, Bud Miller, Jim Miller, and Kenneth Miller; 15 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, all who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 2pm Saturday, November 12, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. David Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth E. Miller, Anthony Miller, Doug Miller, James Miller, Allen Miller, and Delbert Messer.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday, Nov. 11, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
