Ruby Louise Jackson

Ruby L. Jackson, age 81, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at her home.

She was born in Corbin, Kentucky, and was a retired daycare worker.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Jackson, mother, Maggie Hatcher Hopkins, father, Henry Thomas Hammack, son, Herbert Henson, brothers, Earl Hammack, Thomas Hammack, Perry Hammack, and Donnie Hammack, sisters, Judy Hopkins and Henrietta Carr.

She is survived by her children, Darrell Delph of Woodbine, Rita Carter (Willie) of Corbin, Mike Hammack (Darlene) of Corbin, and Teresa Chesnut (Clarence) of Annville, KY, daughter in law, Darla Henson of Indianapolis, siblings, Louise and George Walden, Sheila and David Dykes, Edward Hammack, Johnny and Margie Hammack, Bertie and Ed Martin, Edith Lawson, Charles and Donna Hammack, Faye and Tony Hall, Betty Marshall, Erma and Robert Parker, Eugene and Sue Hopkins, and Rick and Amy Hopkins, grandchildren, Michael and Jon Carter, Amy Philpot, Robin Robertson, Ashley Garrison, Jennifer Grubb, Kay Truett, Stephanie Chesnut, Shianna Roark, and Scott and Ryan Henson, 29 great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ruby Jackson will be from 1pm until 3pm on Sunday September 10, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 3pm with Rev. Gary Elliott and Rev. Johnny Farmer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.
