Ruby Marie Neal

Ruby Marie Neal, age 8, of Tom Town Road Corbin, passed away Friday, September 12, 2003 at her residence. She was born in Wallens Creek, Harlan County, KY on March 7, 1916, the daughter of the late Daniel Calvin and Emma Jane Saylor Simpson. She was homemaker and Pentecostal by Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Neal Jr.; Four daughters Carolyn Sue Neal, Beatrice Mae Neal, Brenda Ann Neal, and Nina Jean Neal; One Great Granddaughter, Brenda Mae Young; two Brothers, Aubrey and Orville Simpson; one Sister, Nola Greenhill; three infant siblings, Oble, Roberta and Berdola Simpson.
She is survived by four Sons:  J.C. Neal and his wife Wilma of London, Charles Neal and his wife June of Lexington, Benny Neal and his wife Margaret of Corbin, and Darvin Neal of Corbin; Three Daughters; Sandra Sheppard and her husband Charles of Blanchester, OH, Gayle Walters and her husband Jerry of Keavy, and Glenda Godsey of Bee Creek Corbin; three Brothers, H.K. Simpson and his wife Odessa of Texas, Clinton Simpson and his wife Betty of Lexington, and Clifford Simpson and his wife Ann of Lexington; Three Sisters, Gladys Brok of Kokomo, IN, Jeanette Parker and her husband Sonny of Verona, KY, and Gwin Roaden of Burlington, KY;  13 Grandchildren: Victoria Quilen, Rhonda Karr and her husband John, Jack Roaden, Kim McOmas and her husband Glen, Marvin Neal and his wife Jenny, Debbie Green and her husband Steve, Renee Kolhman and her husband Rich, Joey Neal, Debra Walters, William Walters, Robert Walters, Bubby Neal, and Sissy Neal; 12 Great-Grandchildren:  Crissi Neal, Danny Neal, Alexis Green, Nicholas Kolhman, Chris Karr, Gary Karr, Merissa McOmas, Carra McOmas, Herbert Young, David Quilen, Jonah Quilen, and Paige Quilen; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Home with Evangelist Henry Clos nad Pastor Bill Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Silent Pines Cemetery, Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm Saturday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
