Ruth Anna Westerfield

Ruth Anna Westerfield, age 88, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born in Madison County, Kentucky to the late Andy Houston Wren and Bertha Richmond Wren. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Temple in Corbin.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Henry Harrison Westerfield Sr, in 1970; Children, Charles Bruce Westerfield, Estel Eugene Westerfield, and Marjorie Ruth Woods; Granddaughter, Joann Nunn; Siblings, Florence White; Earl and Henry Wren; Marie Brock; Edna and Lucy Wren.
She is survived by her Four Children; Joseph O'Neal Westerfield of London; Henry Harrison Westerfield Jr. and wife Sue of Corbin; Norma Jean Pridemore and husband Leonard of Corbin; and Flora Maxine Branthoover and husband Charles of Glasgow; two Sisters, Betty Owens and husband Andy of Mich. and Lucille Helton of Maryland; two Brothers, David Wren and wife Betty, and Ed Wren all of Corbin. 16 Grandchildren; 36 Great Grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren; as well as, a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11am at Trinity Baptist Temple in Corbin. Officiating her service will be Rev. Henry Harrison Westerfield Jr., Rev. Joseph O'Neal Westerfield, and Rev. Roy P. Sutton.
Burial will follow in Merrimac Cemetery in Laurel County where her Grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Monday, August 31st at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
