Ruth 'Pearl' Prewitt

Ruth "Pearl" Prewitt, 92, of Mocksville, NC, formerly of Blue Jay, WV, finished her earthly journey on September 26, 2012 and began a glorious eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Rev. Finley Prewitt, and grandson, Kelly Warren Prewitt; Parents, Warren and Flara Hinkle Prewitt; and by eleven siblings.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Deanna) Prewitt of Covington, VA; 2 daughters, Nancy (Harold, Jr.) Ward of Daniels, WV and Ruth (Shelby) Harbour of Cooleemee, NC. She was the loving grandmother to Kevin Prewitt, Kimberly Prewitt, Jim and Steve McMorrow, Karen McMorrow Biederman, Brian Ward, Lisa Wiseman, Amy Chapman, Jason Harbour, Laura Crisp and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by half-sisters, Lorene Meador, Emma Waddell and Sue Parks.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, October 1, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY 40701 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Shelby Harbour officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery in Corbin.
