Samuel Mason Whittaker

Samuel Mason Whittaker, age 74, of London, Ky, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Born in London, he was the son of the late Raymond Whittaker and Hazel Howard Whittaker. Samuel served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired coal miner with SE Coal Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John William Whittaker.
He is survived by his, wife, Lou Browning Whittaker; daughter, Kay Cornett (Johnny); grandson, Leighton Cornett and girlfriend Chloe; sister, Jackie Jones; and niece and nephew, Laverne Burns (Ken) and Kevin Whittaker (Jessica).
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the funeral home with Preacher Mike Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Whittaker Cemetery in London, Ky with Military Honors by the Keavy D.A.V. Chapter 158.
