Samuel Mccoy Jr.

Samuel McCoy Jr. age 68, passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born in Tennessee a son of the late Samuel McCoy and Eva Rose McCoy Smith.
Samuel was a US Army Veteran of Korea; He was retired from the former Speedway and Pilot near exit 25 in Corbin and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Corbin.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Sister, Thelma Smirdel and Brother, Charles Wayne Smith.
He is survived by his Wife, Erma Louise McCoy; Children, Sam McCoy and wife Barbara of Corbin; Jamie McCoy and wife Rebecca of Winchester, KY and Samantha McCoy of Corbin; Grandchildren, Tyler McCoy and wife Stephanie, Jacoby McCoy, and Joshua McCoy; Brothers and Sisters; Don Dotson and wife Heida of Cape Cod, FL, Bonnie Hembree of Corbin, Mac McCoy and wife Nellie of Barbourville, Laura June Rogers and husband Don of Middletown, OH, Tommie Smith of Hammerhead, OH, Wilma Sue Allen and husband Hugh of Manchester, Georgia Ann Baker of Corbin, and James Smith and wife Stella of Manchester; and by several nieces, nephews, and by many friends.
Funeral service for Samuel McCoy Jr. will be held at 2pm on Wednesday October 21, 2015 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow with Military Honors by Keavy DAV Chapter 158.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8pm and on Wednesday from 1-2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home where messages may be written to the family at www.vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com
