Sandlin Wyatt, age 79, of Gray, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Gray, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John and Sylvia Cobb Wyatt. He had been a truck driver and saw mill operator for Forest Products; was a member of the Rossland Holiness Church; and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Kenneth Wyatt, Lonnie "Booge" Wyatt, Lennie Elliott, and Bernice Wyatt.
He is survived by wife, Audelle Dizney Wyatt; six children: Darlene Ceila Caudill, Marty Lain Wyatt, Michael Anthony Wyatt, Marilyn Renee Harper, Michele Denise Paul, and Marvin Eddie Wyatt; grandchildren: Jenny Sue Engle, David Caudill, Sarah Stamper, Bonnie Wyatt, Stephanie Jones, Samantha Deaton, Tosha Miller, Rachael Smith, Jasmine Evans, Justin Wyatt, Hannah Wyatt, Daniel Wyatt, and Samantha Wyatt; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: Opal Medlin, Joyce Copley, Kotha Wood, Eula Decker, Charlene Wilburn, and William Wyatt; and Harold Farris who was raised as a brother, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Friday, Nov. 15, at the Rossland Holiness Church with Rev. Claude Medlin officiating. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery with military graveside honors by American Legion Post 88.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday, Nov. 14, at Rossland Holiness Church and also after 1pm on Friday at the church.
