Sheldon O. Matson

Sheldon O. Matson, age 78, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Christian Care Communities in Corbin.
He was born on December 7, 1927 in Toledo, OH to the late Max Matson and Loretta Bundy Matson. He was a retired Photographer for the Herald News in Patterson, NJ, and a member of the Woodbine Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Aurora O. Matson; Three Children, Paul Matson and wife Roberta of Continental, OH, Kathryn Brunk and husband Gary of Elida, OH, and Rita Smith and husband Gary of Liberty, LA; Four Grandchildren, Jessica Geiger Hayes, Amanda Geiger, P.J. Matson, and Joel Matson; One Great Granddaughter, Olivia Hayes.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 1pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Minister Nicholaus Geisert officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 6-8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
