Shirley Gregory Goldsmith, age 71, departed this life on August 6, 2022, at her home in New Haven, Indiana. Mrs. Goldsmith was born on April 15, 1951, in Woolum, Kentucky to Rev. Earl and Esther Edwards Gregory. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband of 27 years, Edward Goldsmith, a grandson, Andrew Schlotterback, and a sister-in-law, Terri Gregory. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Warren Louagie (Chris) from Monroeville, Indiana, and Emily Warren Schlotterback (Terry) from New Haven, Indiana. She leaves the following grandchildren, Corbin Warren, B. Goldsmith, Corey Louagie, and Ben Schlotterback, and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth, all from Indiana. She is also survived by the father of her daughters, Lee Warren (Diane), of Woodburn, Indiana. She is also survived by her siblings, Vernece Gregory Jones Gunter (Rev. Eddie), of Corbin, Kentucky, Rev. Earl Gregory of Corbin, Kentucky, Debra Gregory Petrey (Lanny) of Woodbine, Kentucky, Larry Gregory (Cecilia) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, and Karen Gregory Kowa (Dr. Harold) of Asheville, North Carolina. She has many nieces, nephews, and other family members to mourn her passing. After a memorial in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, local services will be held at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky. Visitation will be held for friends and family on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 12:00 pm until the funeral at 2:00 pm. The funeral will be officiated by Rev. Earl Gregory and Rev. Eddie Gunter. Burial will be following the funeral at Calvary Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky, where she will be placed beside her loving husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her siblings to help cover expenses for her arrangements.
