Shirley Marie Sparkman Burdine

Shirley Marie Sparkman Burdine, age 58, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Harlan, KY, she was a daughter to the late Amos Sparkman and Frankie Marie Morton Sparkman. Shirley worked in the bakery at Walmart in Corbin, and she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Wayne Sparkman.

She is survived by her children, Alisha Burdine, and Rick Burdine, grandchildren, Journee, Zyleah, and Riley, brothers and sisters, Marilyn Wilder, Ronnie Sparkman, Sharon Sparkman Mabe, and Earl Sparkman, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her greatly and will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 12noon on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the funeral home with Rev. Sean Disney officiating.

Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, KY.
