Stanley Layton Lunsford

Stanley Layton Lunsford, 68, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Tennessee.
Stanley was born in Corbin to the late Earl and Bessie Frost Lunsford. He played basketball, loved fishing, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had worked at CTA and was a U.S. Army veteran from the Vietnam era and served four years in Germany.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Mack Lunsford and grandson Izaiah Kaine Breeden.
He is survived by his son Scottie Lunsford (Erica) of Maryville, TN; daughter Misty Fielder (Matthew) Townsend, TN; grandsons Stevie Breeden (Brittany) of Knoxville, TN, Layton Lunsford and Lawson Lunsford of Maryville, TN; great-grandsons Kayaiden Breeden and Izaiah Abel Breeden; brothers James Lunsford of Corbin and Charles Lunsford (Barbara) of Strunk; sisters Judy Collins (Craig) of Waco, Vickie Jackson of DeWitt, and Annette Daniels of Corbin; and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 18, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Brafford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
