Steven R. Mills

Steven R. Mills, 35, of Barbourville, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at his residence.
Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late Lonzo Mills and Marjorie Rush Mills who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Amanda and Bert Mills, Mae Prewitt and husband, and Susie Rachel Bentley.
Steven was an employee of the City of Corbin where he was the Director of the Recycle Facility. He was a man of firm convictions and honesty. He enjoyed various activities with different friends, such as hunting, camping, farm work with hay cutting, and yard maintenance at home. Steven was a regular church attender.
He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Mills; sisters: Teresa Mills Sizemore, Sheila Jane Butcher, and Patricia Lynn Mills Dole; brothers: Robert Ray Butcher and Lonzo Mills, Jr.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends, including Erin Tye, Gene Smith, Mike Abner, and co-workers with the City of Corbin.
Funeral Service will be at 3pm on Sunday, June 22, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Abner and Bro. Kenneth Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Candle Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
