Terri Lynn Shotwell Dixon, 54, of Corbin went to Heaven on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Baptist Health - Corbin.
She had been a teacher in the Knox County school system and loved her profession.
Terri was a daughter of the late William Edward and Gladys Smith Shotwell of Corbin. She was also preceded in death by a brother Harold Dean Shotwell and her father-in-law Wayne C. Dixon.
She is survived by her husband Clyde Ray Dixon, son Cody Wayne Dixon and wife Kayla, and granddaughter Aubrey Rae Dixon (14 months), a beloved mother-in-law Bonnie Dixon, her aunt Debbie Anders (age 104) and uncle Lumer Smith (age 95) who have been so special to her. Additional survivors include a brother Bill Shotwell (Phyllis) of Villa Rica, GA; sisters Peggy Farris (Doug) of Shepherdsville and Debbie Poynter (Lonnie) of Parkers Lake; sister-in-law Michele Shotwell of Corbin and brother-in-law Randy Dixon (Lorie) of Corbin; life- long friend Tina Hill, special friends Kim Anderson and Terry Jo Valentine, and many other friends along with nieces and nephews and their children - all who will miss her greatly.
Her visitation will be from 6 until 9 pm Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Her funeral will be held at 1 pm Tuesday there, with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Lonnie Poynter officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
