Thelma Adith Jackson Farris

Thelma Adith Jackson Farris, 91, of Lily, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Christian Care Communities.
Born in Laurel County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Rachel Trosper Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of the McHargue Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Winston Farris; three brothers, Forrester, Elmer and Arlon Jackson; and two sisters, Bertha Nunez and Nola Trosper.
She is survived by her son, Leon Farris and wife Shirley of London; daughter, Bernice Spurlock and husband Elton of Lily; three grandchildren, Wayne Spurlock and wife Vera of Lily, Sherry Mullins and husband Trent of Mt. Juliet, Tenn, and Sandy Farris of London; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Spurlock of Lily, Winston Duncan of London, and Rachel Mullins of Mt. Juliet, Tenn; two brothers, Hurstle Jackson and wife Maureen of Lily and Luster Jackson of London; sister, Marie Young of Zephyrhills, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, July 9, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the McHargue Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday, July 8, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
