Thelma Joyce Carroll

Thelma Joyce Carroll passed away at Baptist Health Corbin on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Florence Bailey Peters, and her brother Leroy Peters.
Thelma is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jim Carroll, and her siblings, Agnes Reeder and Leon Peters (Lena). Other survivors include her four children, Brenda Meeks (Kevin), Karen Slone, Cleve Wright (Diane), and Shelly Jackson (Jeff); three stepchildren, Rose Edmondson (John), Sonny Carroll (Mary), and Patty Bryant (Robert); fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
For many years, Thelma had been an active and faithful member of First Pentecostal Church in Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Her funeral is planned for 11 am Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Elliott officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
