Thomas Anderson Guinn

Thomas Anderson Guinn, 83, of Gray, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1922 in Knox County, he was the son of the late Anderson Barton Guinn and Mary Martha Blankenship Guinn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Emma Kelly, grandson Douglas Guinn, and two sons-in-law Wiley Jordan and Leo Moses.
He was a retired worker with National Standard and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII.
Survivors include his wife Anna Mary Guinn of Gray; Children, Philomena Dix (Doug) of Fleming County, Teresa Barnett (Walt) of Gray, Judy Jordan of Corbin, Helen Moses of Gray, Elizabeth Guinn of Gray, Carolyn Lloyd (Donnie) of Corbin, Florence Craig (Larry) of Gray, Shirley Smith (Thom) of Corbin, Mary Ann Whicker (Jerry) of Richmond, Thomas Guinn (Elaine) of Gray, George Guinn (Carol) of Gray, and Joseph Guinn (Ethel) of Corbin; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister Marie Kelly; special caregiver and friends Christy Cook, Laura Hibbard Scearce and Makenzie Mays.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Craig and Thom Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Brafford Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Fonzie A. Wilder Post 88.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
