Thomas I. Godsey

Thomas I. Godsey, age 88, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
He was born in Whitley County and served in both the US Army in World War II and then in the US Air Force. Thomas was a licensed plumber and had retired from CSX Railroad in Corbin.
He was preceded in death his Parents, John and Susie Godsey, and by his Brothers and Sisters.
He is survived by his Wife, Bessie Davis Godsey; Son, Michael Godsey; Step-Sons, Arthur Claxton Jr. and Jerry Claxton; Sister-in-law, Martha Sutton; Several Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Saturday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
