Thomas "Tom" R. Grant

Thomas "Tom" R. Grant, age 84, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on October 4, 2023, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Tom was born on May 24, 1939, to Millard and Cleo Grant in KayJay, Kentucky. He was a faithful member of Sojourn Baptist Church. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1998. Tom was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Janet Myers Grant, brothers, Henry "Sonny" Grant and Hershel Grant, and his sister, Betty Bennett.

He is survived by his wife, Thedda McCowan Grant, daughters, Lisa McGuire, Retha Gail Spaulding (Mark), and Ellen Jamison, 10 grandchildren including special grandson Johnathan Thomas Grant, 13 great grandchildren, brother, Robert W. Grant, sister, Joyce Fay St Amour, and by many family members and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will begin at 2pm on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in Grant Cemetery in Knox County, Kentucky with grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
