Timothy Scott 'Scotty' Gambrel

Timothy Scott Gambrel (known to many as Scotty), was born April 1, 1966 and Jesus called him to Glory November 13, 2019.

He is survived by his dad ‶Pap″ Gary Lewis and momma Sue of Harrodsburg, KY and his dad Bruce Gambrel of Lawrenceburg, KY. He is also survived by his wife Laura (Saylor) Gambrel and his children Casey Gambrel and wife Kristen of Lawrenceburg, KY, Colton Gambrel of Lawrenceburg, KY, Tyler Maas of Corbin, KY and Kirstin Garrett and husband Josh of Walton, KY.  His brothers Adam Lewis and wife Kim, Dwayne Lewis and wife Sheri, Sam Gambrel, Thomas Gambrel, Clark Gambrel and wife Jessica, and Jamie Jordan.  He is also survived by his sweet grandson Cody Gambrel ‶Papaw’s man″ of Lawrenceburg, KY and his lifelong best friend, his cousin Steve Bradford.  Also, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends as well as his precious brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Scott was saved at the age of 12 and loved serving Jesus the majority of his life on this side of Glory.  He attended Harlan Independent School and graduated from Harlan High School as a proud Dragon.  He played basketball, baseball and his love, football.  As he always said, ‶Once a Dragon always a Dragon″ He attended EKU after graduating Harlan High School.  He loved fishing and making his own lures.  He was a youth leader alongside his wife Laura for years and his heart was full when he had the opportunity to baptize some of the kids in his youth group.  He was the church bus driver as well.  If Scott could say anything at all to those who are still running their race it would be to hang on, keep your hand on the gospel plow and that Heaven is definitely worth the journey.  To those that are lost, give your hearts to Jesus before the trumpet sounds.  Scott has finished his race and is currently fishing the crystal river in Glory.
