Tommy Lincoln Taylor

Tommy Lincoln Taylor, Sr., age 52, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin. 

Born in Red Bird, KY, he was the son of the late Noah Lincoln Taylor and Belvie Sue Cox Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Cody Sammons; sisters, Laura Taylor, Melissa Taylor, and Theresa Taylor; and a brother, Luke Taylor. 

A fervent fan of all things NASCAR, his passion for the roar of engines and the thrill of the chase was contagious. Tommy’s evenings were often spent watching Cops or tuning into his police scanner, a hobby that satisfied his innate curiosity and interest in community happenings. Most of all, Tommy was a devoted companion, father, brother, and friend. 

He is survived by his life companion, Shonda Miles; children, Tommy Taylor, Jr., Tony Taylor, and Angel Miles (Michael Saylor); grandson Brentley Miles; siblings, Veda Wright (Hallie Black), Denny Taylor (Theresa Hall), Lawrence Collinsworth (Deana); Michael Taylor, and Lisa Roark, and Noah "June Bug" Taylor; and by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held from 12 - 2 pm on Saturday February 1, 2025, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm m with Bro. Dillion Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky
