Troy 'Bear' Brafford

Troy "Bear" Brafford, age 78, of Gray, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Gray, he was the son of the late Jonah and Alice Frey Brafford. Troy was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger. He was a member of the Living Waters Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Hollin Brafford in 1996; his son, Ricky Brafford; and brother, Charles "Buddy" Brafford.
He is survived by two daughters: Patricia Parker and Jennifer Jordan and husband Harold; grandchildren: Nicholas Ryan Scott, Brent Brafford and fiancée Nicole Toft, and Amber Disney; four sisters: Weda Brackett, Wilma Helton and husband Junior, Sue Brock and husband S.T., and Janice Smith and husband Jimmy; great-grandchildren: Isabella Toft, Tanzara Disney, Gabriella Disney, Cataleya Manzano, Shianne Gray, and Hannah Toft; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, Jan. 26, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Humfleet officiating. Burial will be in the Hollin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home.
