Truscilla Vinson

Truscilla Vinson, age 84, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Born in Gray, Kentucky, she was the last living child of the late Tony Roscoe Haggard and Clydia Engle Haggard.  Truscilla enjoyed woodworking, gardening, canning, and cooking, but she most loved visiting with her family and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin Vinson, and by four brothers and three sisters.

Truscilla is survived by her children, John D'Wayne Vinson (Mary), Denise Hadley (Phillip), and Melinda Vinson-Richardson (Jeff), grandchildren, Tim Stamper (Robyn), Josh Stamper (Chandra), Staci Leonard (Lee), Austin Hadley (Heather), Chelsea Ison (Josh), and Logan Vinson (Courtney), great grandchildren, Gradyn Stamper, Tryndon Stamper, Whitley Stamper, Blakely Stamper, Bella Stamper, Sophia Stamper, Lukas Christian, Wyatt Leonard, Henry Leonard, Colton Hadley, Emma Hadley, Benjamin Ison, Everett Ison, and she was anxiously awaiting two additional great grandchildren, she is also survived by many special nieces.

Visitation will be from 1pm-3pm on Saturday June 10, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 3pm with Rev. Jim Murray officiating.

Honorary pall bearers will be Tim Stamper, Josh Stamper, Lee Leonard, Austin Hadley, Josh Ison, Logan Vinson, Lukas Christian, and Wyatt Leonard.
