Velma Jean Byrge

Velma Jean Byrge, age 81, of Corbin, KY, left our lives, on Tuesday June 6, 2023, at Baptist Health in Corbin.

Born in Corbin, Kentucky on January 22, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Ernest "Tom" and Edna Helton Miller.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Anderson.

Velma is survived by her two sons, Robert Byrge and wife Emily of Lexington, and Brian Byrge and wife Cheyanna of Corbin, brother, Keith Miller and wife Kathy, sister, Claudia Smith all of Ohio, nine grandchildren, Duane, Brittany, Rachel, Tyler, Kyleigh, Amanda, Joshua, Amber, and Alyson, and by a number of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday June 9, 2023, at the Parks-Helton Cemetery in Woodbine, KY, with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
