Verna Hollin, age 90, of Rt. Baker Hollow Road in Gray, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at the Knox County Hospital in Barbourville.
She was born on July 6, 1913 in Clay County to the late Larkin Jackson and Sarah Davis Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gray Pentecostal Church and attended the Living Waters Pentecostal Church in Gray.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Hollin; Two Sons, Will and Jackie Hollin; Four Daughters, Virgie Bowling, Nannie Brafford, Mossie and Edna Hollin.
She is survived by one Son, Larkin Hollin of Hardin County, KY; Eleven Daughters, Delora Mae Mills, Leona McCreary, Georgia Humfleet, America Hobbs, Mary Shorter, Flossie Hinkle, Alice Jones, Elizabeth Owens, and Axie Scott all of Gray, Sarah Gray of Corbin, and Martha Shorter of Elkhart, IN; 83 Grandchildren, 113 Great Grandchildren, and 32 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Living Waters Pentecostal Church in Gray, with Rev. R.P. Edwards, Randall Lee, and Charlie Humfleet officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollin Cemetery in Gray.
Visitation will be on both Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.
