Verna I. Wilson

Verna I. Wilson, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Christian Care Communities in Corbin.
Born in Hyden, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Talmage and Martha Spurlock Mattingly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Husband, Archie Raymond Wilson in 2000; Step-Son, James Ray Wilson; Sisters, Marie Baker, Judy Dixon and Norma Mattingly; and Brothers Carl Mattingly and John Henry Mattingly.
She is survived by her step-son, Terry Wilson and wife Diane of Lynchburg, VA; step-daughter, Betty Hancock of Knoxville, TN; Several step-grandchildren, step-great- Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12noon until the time of her funeral service at 1:00pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.
Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
