Victor Gray, age 87, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Knox County, he was the son of the late Dan Gray and Nancy Garland Gray. He had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Hazel Fork Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel, Lewis, Grover, Jimmy and Dewey; sisters, Sarah Smith and Rosie Grubb; and daughter, Linda Sue Gray.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Gray; sons, Donald Gray and wife Robin and Lonnie Gray and wife Sandra, all of Alexandria, KY, and Theron Gray and wife Betty of Corbin; daughters, Barbara Wagers and husband Billy of Corbin and Melinda Reid and husband Mitch of Middlesboro; son, Charles Gray of Corbin; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 1pm Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Johnson and Rev. Matthew Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Fox Addition of the Calvary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
