Viola Gray, age 71 of Corbin, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at her home.
She was born in Ogle, Kentucky and was a 47 year member of the Church of God of Union Assembly in Corbin.
Viola was preceded in death by her Husband Whitley Gray; Children, Jerry Dewayne Gray and Yolanda Elaine Gray; Parents, Arther Keen and Matilda Smith Keen; Brothers, Tom Keen, William Rice, and Thomas Rice; Sisters, Easter Mooneyham and Greenie Mayne.
She is survived by her Son, Rondall Gray and wife Judy of Knox County; Daughters, Veda Wombles and Jennifer Shank both of Corbin; Granddaughters, Crystal Boyd and husband Michael and Kaylee Shank; Grandsons, Joshua Wombles and Caleb Shank; Great-Grandchildren, Savanna Boyd, Brianna Boyd, and Michael Lee Boyd; Sister, Eva Mitchell of Barbourville; and by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral and on Tuesday July 1, 2014 from 11am until 12noon at the Church of God of Union Assembly in Corbin.
Funeral service will be held at 12noon on Tuesday July 1st at the Church of God of Union Assembly with Rev. Doug Pratt, Rev. Larry Chandler, and Rev. Brent Sowder officiating.
Burial will follow in the Broughton Cemetery in Knox County
