Virgil 'Honey' Helton

Virgil "Honey" Helton, age 78, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Alva, Kentucky and was retired from National Standard formerly in Corbin. He was a member of the West Corbin Baptist Church.
Virgil was preceded in death by his Son, Benny Lee Helton; Mother, Arah Pridemore Helton; Father, Virgil Helton; Step Mother, Virgie A. Helton; Brothers, Clem and Ricky A. Helton; and by a Sister, Joy Helton.
He is survived by his Wife, Lois Ledington Helton whom he married on September 21, 1957; Sons, Dennis Helton of Ashville, NC and Darrell Helton of Corbin; Grandson, Aaron Jacoby Helton of Louisville; Sisters, Jiffalee "Jip" McHargue, Cathy Helton Poracky and Debbie Sue Helton Day and husband Charles all of Corbin, and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service for Virgil "Honey" Helton will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Bart Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the McFarland Cemetery in West Corbin.
