Virginia Lee Scribner

Virginia Lee Scribner, 64, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Naomi Summers Higginbotham and Joe Higginbotham who survives. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her brother Steve Higginbotham, and son Greg Jones.
Virginia was a non-denominational Christian and had worked as a security officer for the county jail in Maricopa County, Arizona.
She is survived by her husband Jon Scribner; daughter Susan Hamm; sisters Nancy Panjwani and Linda Collins; and father Joe Higginbotham.
Family and friends will meet at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 9, at the Chappell Cemetery in Keavy for a Graveside Service. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
