Walter Allen Stead

Walter Allen "Wally" Stead, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at his home.
Born in Flint, Michigan, Wally had worked as an auto mechanic and truck driver, and was a United States Marines veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Stead; brother, Clare Harold Stead, Jr.; and sister, Audrey Stead.
Wally is survived by his wife, Donna Stead; father, Clare Stead; children, Jenny Marie Stead and Stacy Melinda Stead Cathers; two grandchildren, Carletta June Cathers and Makayla Ann Cathers; brothers, Dennis, Tom, Sam, and Aubrey Stead; and sister, Carrie Stead.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, October 4th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Following the visitation, D.A.V. Chapter 158 of Keavy will perform military honors at the funeral home.
