William "Bill" Bowdler

April 20, 1964 — May 16, 2024

William "Bill" Bernard Bowdler, Jr., age 60, of Corbin, KY, departed this life on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by friends and family.

Born on April 20, 1964, in Trenton, MI, he was the son of the late William "Bill" Bowdler, Sr., and Ruby Dugger Goforth. Bill lived with great service and kindness toward others. He greatly enjoyed tending his yard and spending time watching wildlife. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a student of astrology, and much more. His greatest joy came from caring for and spending time with his grandchildren. A member of Living Waters Pentecostal Church, Bill was a man selflessly, devoted to his faith. He did nothing for personal gain, but to try and love others so that God might be glorified.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Jackie Helton Henderson, Debbie Helton Knight, and Marijean Bowdler; and his brother, Allen Keith Helton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Martin Bowdler of Corbin; two daughters, Rachel Grubb and husband Daniel of Gray, and Erica Goss and husband Raymond of Corbin; two special grandchildren, Brooklyn Eads and Brayden Eads of Corbin; grandchildren, Mackenzie Eads, Robert Michael Eads, and Chase Carr; a sister, Myra Goforth of Corbin; and by many special nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
