Wilma Taylor Vannatta

Wilma Taylor Vannatta, age 87, of Harned, KY, passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2022. Born in Laurel County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William Taylor and Zou Poynter Taylor. She lived most of her life in Louisville where she worked as a typesetter and composer for the former Fetter Printing. Wilma was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #5831, and was a member of Chapel Hill United Church of Christ in Louisville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse E. Vannatta who she married in 1954, her brothers, Authur Taylor, Fred Taylor, and Earl Taylor, and by her sister, Lela Storm. Wilma is survived by her sons, Alan Vannatta (Maureen), Jeffery Vannatta (Dora), and Kerry Vannatta (Patricia), grandchildren, Lynnette Jones (Dean), Pamela Howard (James), Jessica Vannatta (Mike), Wilma Vannatta, Kristopher Vannatta (Carolyn), and Amy Vannatta, sisters, Jo Ann Smith and Margie Schickinger, and by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Monday July 25, 2022, at her childhood home church, Level Green Church of Christ, 83 Holly Grove Road, in Keavy, Kentucky, where her funeral service will be held at 2pm.
