Zael A. Spinden, age 87, of Merritt Island, FL, formerly of Corbin, passed away on Friday February 2, 2007 at his home.
He was born on May 10, 1919 in Quincy, Illinois the son of the late Albert and Eva Conley Spinden. He was retired from National Standard in Corbin, a retired real estate agent in Sarasota, Fl, an Army Veteran of World War II; and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Corbin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Reba Catron Spinden in 2001; Daughter, Carole Jean Underwood; and by his Brothers and Sisters.
He is survived by his Daughter and Son-in-Law, Joyce and Toby McCormick; Son-In-Law, Don Underwood; Grandchildren, Serena Underwood Hair and husband Dr. David; Melissa Underwood, Dewayne Underwood, Tony McCormick and wife Connie, and Bruce McCormick; Four Great-Grandchildren, Lauren, Katie, and Madison McCormick, and Angela O'Meara.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 from 11am until the time of the funeral at 1pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Nethery officiating.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
