Clyde W. "Spike" Jackson, 91, of Corbin passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at his home.
Born in Corbin, he was a son of the late Landon and Rose Carmine Jackson. Also, he was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Poole and brothers Nolin "Jock" Jackson, Harold "Cotton" Jackson, and Charles H. Jackson.
Spike served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a plumber. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing pool with friends.
He is survived by a niece Sherry Waller, five nephews: Bill Poole, Charles "Chuck" Jackson, Nolin H. Jackson, Dennis Jackson and James Jackson; and many other family members; and special friend Tom Gambrel.
His visitation will begin at 11am Friday, January 17, 2020, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow there at 1pm with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery with military graveside honors by American Legion Post 88.
